# Upload a world

Here's a tutorial on how to upload worlds using the Multiverse plugin.

To start, you should know that the best plugin to upload worlds to your Minecraft Java server is **Multiverse-Core**. To use it, download the plugin from the official [Multiverse-Core page](https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/multiverse-core)

#### Steps:

1. Upload the `.ZIP` file of your world to your server’s file management.
2. Extract (unzip) the `.ZIP` file inside your file management.
3. Ensure a new folder has been created after extraction.
4. Open your server console or join in-game, then execute the following command:

   ```
   mv import <foldername> normal
   ```

   *Note: Do not use a `/` before the command in the console.*
5. If successful, you’ll see a confirmation message in-game or in the console.
6. *(Optional)* If you want this new world to be the main world where players spawn:
   * Stop your server.
   * Delete your current `world` folder.
   * Rename the new world folder to `world`.
7. Restart your server. Your new world is now ready to play.
